Crews from Abergele and Colwyn Bay were called to a property at Gorwel, Abergele at 15.56hrs today, Tuesday 14^th April.

One woman, thought to be in her seventies, was rescued from the property by police officers who happened to be in the area.

She has been transferred to hospital for treatment and is believed to be in a serious condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation in conjunction with North Wales Police.
